Hi,
I'm attempting to crop a 50-pixel column off the left hand side
of my image. From my reading of the documentation, I should be
able to do this with: -chop width
[EMAIL PROTECTED] test]$ convert -version
Version: ImageMagick 6.2.8 11/21/06 Q16
file:/usr/share/ImageMagick-6.2.8/doc/index.html
Copyright: Copyright (C) 1999-2006 ImageMagick Studio LLC
[EMAIL PROTECTED] test]$ identify duc00014.jpg
duc00014.jpg JPEG 720x900 720x900+0+0 DirectClass 6.2e+02kb
[EMAIL PROTECTED] test]$ convert -chop 50 duc00014.jpg out.jpg
convert: magick/cache.c:2383: GetNexus: Assertion
`cache_info->number_views != 0UL' failed.
Aborted
I've also got a more recent ImageMagick:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] flip]$ convert -version
Version: ImageMagick 6.3.2 01/26/07 Q16 http://www.imagemagick.org
Copyright: Copyright (C) 1999-2007 ImageMagick Studio LLC
[EMAIL PROTECTED] flip]$ identify duc00014.jpg
duc00014.jpg JPEG 720x900 720x900+0+0 DirectClass 8-bit 623.672kb
[EMAIL PROTECTED] flip]$ convert -chop 50 duc00014.jpg out.jpg
convert: no pixels defined in cache `duc00014.jpg'.
convert: Empty JPEG image (DNL not supported) `out.jpg'.
From googling around, I suspect the 6.2.8 version that
I'm using has a bug. I can't find anything for the error
I'm getting in 6.3.2
Is this a bug, or am I misreading the docs (again)?
