Status: 139 (expected 0)

Is the problem specific to a particular image? If so post a URL to the
image so we can download and reproduce the problem.

Inside Gallery admin, on the ImageMagick page is a test button to test that ImageMagick is installed/working properly. What I copy/pasted was the results of that test. I believe from the paths you should be able to see the exact command line being executed, this the graphic files as well.

The ImageMagick 6.2.7 version compiles / executes beautifully on the same
server.

Otherwise we're clueless.
When we type

  -> convert -size 200x200 -geometry 200x200 logo: logo.miff
  -> echo $status
  0

1&1's tech support also report success with running our compile/install of
ImageMagick from the command line / shell.

You could try adding -debug all to your command line to see if ImageMagick
reveals any problems with your system.

I will contact Gallery support to see if they can provide a copy of Gallery
that gives debug info.

So, you still have neglected to tell what a exit code of 139 means in
ImageMagickland? Does that give a clue as to the cause ImageMagick returned 139?
