I would simply suggest that if the folder selected to be added (in the
list of the folders to look into) is a group folder, then all its
sub-folders should be recursively added. 

As there is no message in a group folder itself, choosing to look for
messages in such a folder could only mean 'look in its sub-folders', no?

In the same way, removing a group folder from the list should remove all
its sub-folders also.

I would add that the 'search...' option should be available with
a right-click on the folder.

And would it be possible to have the progress dialog count the number of
messages in *all* the looked for folders. My understanding is that
currently it is re-created for each folder.
