As there is no message in a group folder itself, choosing to look for messages in such a folder could only mean 'look in its sub-folders', no? In the same way, removing a group folder from the list should remove all its sub-folders also. I would add that the 'search...' option should be available with a right-click on the folder. And would it be possible to have the progress dialog count the number of messages in *all* the looked for folders.
