Yes, I think so too. I've already used it twice or thrice to find some
messages and that's more than can be said about many other Mahogany
features :-)

This looks like a good idea and simpler (not only to implement but also to
use) than my latest idea: have a check listbox of folders and search the
checked folders recursively.

XN> As there is no message in a group folder itself, choosing to look for

 Right.

This is a second (minor) drawback of your proposal. The first one
(enumerating them in logical order ;-) is that it's difficult to search
just in the folder having some subfolders because when you add it all of
them appear in the listbox as well and you have to delete them manually
later.

And for me it would be inconvenient because I have Mahogany folder under
which I have: BugMessages, BugReports, CVS, ListAdmin and TODO folders. So
to look only in Mahogany folder I'd have to do "Remove" 5 times.

The advantage of the check listbox is that you only have to check/uncheck
one item to toggle between searching recursively or not. And removing is
simpler, too. Are there any problems with this approach I'm missing?

Why not. I try to keep the context menus as short as possible but maybe we
could remove the "Delete" command from the menu to make place for this one?

Probably, yes. It definitely should, and it should be possible to cancel
the search as well.

 Thanks!
