Yes, using Hamster when I ran under Win2k and did news via Mahogany was the
only way to do so and stay sane.

Well, when I wanted to add the test group I used, I had to type in the group
name myself - there was no offer of help from a list of groups available. If
nntp.c knows about .newsrc, it must be another thing Karsten never got around
to.
