Umm, with my trial group, I tried to send a message and although the headers seemsed OK, it seemsed to be having a bit of trouble convincing SMTP to accept the message ;-) It seems Newsgroup: is not as acceptable as to: LOL :-) VZ> VZ> ML> Vadim, I think you need to subscribe to c.l.python in Mahogany for a few weeks VZ> ML> and even with your speedy bandwidth see if you agree with what you wrote at VZ> ML> the end of that time. But what you ask for is not true offline nwsreading, it's just a VZ> decent online functionality. I define true offline newsreading as being able to go online and download all new messages in all groups you subscribe to and having them saved to your storage device. You then go offline and still have access to all previous news as well as what you just got. You can read / answer / mark news URL's you want downloaded next time you go online. When you do, it sends your composed messages, downloads any news URL's you wanted and new messages in subscribed groups. It will also optionally automatically update .newsrc with any new groups available / inform you / allow subscription. Then the cycle starts again. If it supports the new news protocol, so much the better than just the highwater mark method. I do not want news only functional when I have NNTP server connnectivity as M presently supports. Fair enough. Well, France vs Fiji is on so I'm going to watch. Go Fiji <grins, ducks for cover> ;-D You certainly have a stirring National Anthem.
