Sorry, it has moved (to "Folder tree") since the release but I forgot
about it.

IMHO it is normal that the focus is given to the message window when the
folder is opened - it is the most useful behaviour.

Yes, this is why I don't like to have this option on. It's really for the
people using mouse, not keyboard.

What's wrong with keeping this option off and using Enter to open the
folder?

Except that it doesn't work currently so, as I said, it would be useless.

You can scroll by line by pressing Enter.

Ok, I'll add this, it is trivial.

The program used by default is the one configured on your system. You can
right click the attachment and do "Open with..." instead. But there
surely are possibilities for improvement here, see

Sorry, what is a "sequence of messages that were read recently"? I.e. how
do you define this, how should it behave - an example, maybe? I really
don't see what do you mean.

Please enter a wish into the bug tracker for this, I might do it (not any
time soon though), thanks.

This is probably related to/dependent on

        http://mahogany.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/show_bug.cgi?id=609

Again, please enter a wish for this, it seems like a good idea.

DK> Also, the "folder view" page says: "...will select the first or last

DK> "preview message when selected." How can it affect the "first or last"

Mahogany focuses (i.e. makes current) either the first or the last
message. If the latter option is on, it also previews it automatically,
otherwise it just focuses it.

But the layout of this page has been (hopefully!) improved since the
release. It should be a bit less confusing now.

 Thanks for your feedback,
VZ
