the standard case is popup menu on a folder, selecting "Search", then I
would expect only this folder in the list box with the recurse option checked on
(the same from the main menu).

A save button would help to organize common search tasks (with names given
by the user).
Even better would be a list box, containing these saved search tasks.
Selecting an item loads the corresponding search task.
These could also appear somewhere in a submenu "Search Tasks".
