You can use the same address books and folders from the both systems but it's a bit tricky with the config file. Although you can use the same config file as well (you'll need to use "--config=<path>" option for this) there are some settings for which you'd want to have different values under Windows and Unix so it's not a good long term solution. But it could be at least used to "import" Windows settings to Linux, for example.
