For 'File' folders (MBX, MBOX, and the others), you can put a complete
path in the 'File Name' field when you create the folder. You're not at
all obliged to put them in some pre-defined directory.

And, by the way, I only recently discovered the 'Import File Folders...'
command. It will ask you for a path, and for each file in this
directory, it will create a folder. The files must be in MBOX format. I
found this feature very useful to read the archives of news messages
created by SLRN...
