I'm not sure how long you have been in this group. For me, I jumped in
or the first time about a month ago and immediately apppointed myself
QA Manager much for the reasons above LOL :-) I guess I have
officially outed myself :-)

I have noticed the same as you have and I suspect it is mostly for the
reason that a lot of people don't go near the sourceforge site other
than to get new versions of software. The vast majority of entries in
the buglist are from current / ex developers. They are also, for the
most part, quite old and and dated although also mostly still
applicable.

At the moment, I am in the process of trying to make sense of what is
going on in there and for the moment, I would appreciate no new
entries in there. In talks with Vadim our Head Programmer, it seems he is looking at
the
possibility to move the data to another server where we will have
greater access to the data.

Slowly but surely, we are going through all the bugs and testing what
it still valid and what is fixed but the bug list not closed.
Simultaneously with this I am doing some data analysis and
prioritising what areas need the most work the soonest. Believe me, we
on the development team are not unaware that lots of bits of the
program need some work. The only problem we have is a lack of C++ /
wxWindows programmers able and willing to help. I'm sure we are all
greatful for the work you have indicated a willingness to help in.

Any other programmers, head on over to the Mahogany Developers list
and I'm sure your help would be much appreciated.

TIA

Dr. QA
