Personally, I liked check3 most of all, but this is just because of the word 'folder' in the caption. It seems to me that 'here' is sometimes obscure and may confuse a user. I'd also like to give another idea, not sure if it is better: to use a pulldown list for the options and let a user choose one option. This saves space and is more scalable, but less convenient (a click is needed to see the list of options).I think the one with radio buttons is not bad but I had to make the strings very short (and potentially confusing) to keep the dialog proportions reasonable. BTW, vertical layout doesn't look nice neither, even for a dialog with a lot of text such as this one, for other dialogs with only 2-3 lines of text it would be even worse.
The check2 version is kind of ok but the problem is that it's not extensible, i.e. if I want to disable the question just for this PGP key (see bug 775 for details) I don't know how to extend it to deal with this.
This is why I created check3 with the idea that more check boxes can be added. This is nice because it is consistent (of course there would be no check boxes at all if the question is global) but it just looks slightly weird...
What do you think? Can you propose something better? If not, which of the above do you prefer?
