Yes, I see the same behaviour when some asserts (but not all) happen - I press 
Continue
in assert dialog and get what you describe (I am using a debug build).

I don't use any, Vadim uses Vim (configured heavily as I understand).

You can switch between 0.67 and svn version anytime, config file will not be 
corrupted.

It's planned (config file synchronization), but you can use config file on 
Windows already -
 M --help:
--config=<str>          specify the alternative configuration file to use
