I was talking about when building wx. I'm not sure I trust installing the
Ubuntu packages. Worried that doing that will eventually break
something so I want to build from source. When I build wx do I just
grab the -gtk sources and do I have to do anything special in the
build from there for them to be -ansi rather than -unicode?

Absolutely. I have been using M since it first appeared. Switching between
M and Sylpheed on my linux boxes depending on which I could get installed.
When I shifted to doing my email COMPLETELY in IMAP then M was the only
way to go. It was a big bonus that people are compiling it for Windows since
I have to keep a Windows box for work and I leave my Laptop as a Windows
machine so I can use it as a GPS with mapping software on trips.

Thanks,

Gerald
