I can say that thanks mainly to Pioneer who are selling their 107D model for as little as Rs. 5,750. And no, it's not a 4X variant, but a full-fledged 8X dual format DVD burner that can burn both DVD+R and DVD-R at 8X. The rewrite speed for DVD+/-RW disks is limited to 4X. The only catch being that CDs can be written at a max speed of 24X. On the brighter side though, CD-RWs can be burnt at 24X too and CDs can be read at up to 40X. All in all, a very good drive at a very impressive price.
