hi,
sorry for sounding as an american spokesperson..i am not..
Why would those companies violate US laws in the first place to do
business with an out of control country like Iran and get blacklisted
by US Govt. Its like shooting themselves in the feet. Again,I don't
know or think anybody is totally barred from doing business with Iran
as long as they don't violate the UN sanctions or US Laws when it
comes to American companies(though US Govt cautions its allies like
India not to engage with Iran). Politics aside, i don't think majority
of GNU/Linux users use free software because they hate America, they
do because they care about their freedom and as a way to ethical
living(free beer, security and fun part are as important in varying
degrees to "free" people). Its very unfair to dynamic and loving
people like Americans that they are equated with deeds of American
Govt. American Govt is a lot better than inert,knee-jerk and myopic
Indian political class which didn't had an iota of moral fibre to
give APJ Abdul Kalam a second term and which cares more about
strategic sentiments of Chinese regime than Indian interests.
Strangely enough i am still a patriotic Indian. I dont find any good
reason for it..guess I am very shameless person. :-(
