Well the hardware are coming out at an alarming rate;so unless we are in
direct touch with the reatil pc/laptop business keeping a list would be a
hard task.

Only the guys at the shops know it all...they handle 4-5 phone calls in a
minute and i have seen them dealing with All cool ASUS AXPXX%%%%** , INTEL
***#$, etc etc as if ls and ps :)

So a practical approach would be to get a tie up with the pc vendors and
start a Free Software zone ( well make it open source..fraud mallus..think
free in software as something they get for free and not worth they pay for
:) ) in their shop with a bunch of hardwares known to work

where you get GNU installed in their PC/lappy for a extra fee of 1000 rupees
( the money can be divided between the venor and lug or be dealt with
however ).Basically there need to be a business model which make it look
like it is working out for the vendors lest they lose intrest

I guess many would buy from the free-zone if we keep up a 3d desktop with
mplayer/xine etc preinstalled and let it sit as a demo with a tag
virus-free :)
