[MlMt] MM marks msgs as read on its own

I was completely offline for a week and when processing the hundreds of 
emails that came in the meantime, I noticed that the new version 1.10 
marks messages as read on its own. Has anyone else noticed that? I 
double-click a message. It opens in the new window (I use 2 panes only). 
I delete it. It disappears as expected. After a couple seconds, the 
status of the next message that was unread is changed to read.
