Al,
Looking back at my message - yes, my tone was probably too harsh - sorry
about that.
However, even if the person didn't intend it - there were
subtle/suggestive hints that implied that ivmSIP/24 suffers from many of
the worst things that happen with subnet-based blacklists, particularly
the more poorly run subnet-based blacklists - but yet my reply with
additional details clearly refuted those worst possible suspicions that
someone might have had from reading that. What is so ironic - is that
SIP24 is SO MUCH the OPPOSITE of what was implied. (though no blacklist
is perfect)
Also, if someone is having trouble contacting me about a delist request
that they want escalated, they should at least (a) have FIRST completed
an online request using our website for the IPs in question AND (b)
checked to see if the items are still listed at the time they are about
to hit that send button on a discussion list message (or other public post).
While you're probably correct about this person - there are a lot of
darker shads of gray - many of whom do not have pure motives and don't
debate these issues in good faith. So it is kind of my policy that if
someone draws attention to a delist request process not working as they
desired - then all cards are then laid out on the table, however good or
bad they makes them or invaluement look. This discourages "bad actors"
from "piling on". (which then, in the long run, decreases noise on such
lists, too)
But thanks for the feedback - I'll keep that in mind going forward...

Rob, you're treating it as an attack when I don't really think it is.
Why not just say sure, I can help you with this, sorry we didn't
connect before, let's do that now.
Your rep will survive the occasionally misplaced complaint -- every
blacklist maintainer, especially good ones, know that people freak out
sometimes.
Cheers,
