        Come to think of it, trademarks can also be registered by 
individuals in at least some jurisdictions, so setting up a company 
is just one step that could be avoided.  (A scammer could use a 
stolen ID to register the trademark, or get one of their employees to 
sign the necessary paperwork, etc.)

        Are the participating mailbox providers not offering any services 
where a customer manages their own domain and DNS?
