I use mutt as my regular mail client and here's what I have to note: Plain text email clients like mutt still display "friendly name" as "From" in the index screen. However, if you open the message, you see the actual "From" header in full, so this basically solves the first problem. However, it's not so easy with HTML. If the email is HTML only, without plain text part (and nowadays even many legitimate mails from various services are HTML only, not even mentioning spammers...), then the plain text email client will usually call a web browser to display the content - and the web browser will display whatever the sender put inside <a>...</a> tag anyway (even a text mode web browser like w3m). -- Regards, Jaroslaw Rafa [email protected] -- "In a million years, when kids go to school, they're gonna know: once there was a Hushpuppy, and she lived with her daddy in the Bathtub." _______________________________________________ mailop mailing list [email protected] https://list.mailop.org/listinfo/mailop
