To give you some feedback on the issue - we are still on the trial and
error part to narrow down what exactly in the emails causes them to get
rejected.

It looks like it's not only the string "Rechnung" in the content or
attachment name as sending the same body and pdf attachment via another
tool did not cause them to get rejected. So we started comparing email
headers, encodings, etc.

At the moment, it strangely looks like we have narrowed it down
to the cause most contributing to emails being rejected, just being
the Message-ID containing a dash (- sign), despite this IMHO being
RFC compliant.

It looks since we have altered the way how the Message-ID is generated,
replacing the dash by a dot, emails get delivered to icloud.com
recipients.
