If it helps, I am NOT using a trial version.

And mine seems to only work for some new mail, not all.

You know, I'm going to turn badge notifications off. I previously had it off
but then when I switched to my new computer, I turned that part on. That's
the only change I've made to my settings. I'll report back once I see what
happens.
