It't getting out of hand. File attachments in gmail are adding up to my
storage.

Currently, MailPlane can't delete an attachment. My options that I am
aware of are Apple Mail, Thunderbird, or some other 3rd party email client.
I would more than likely use Apple Mail. The problem is, I rarely use the
app, which means, to delete an attachment starts a long process of syncing
and updating the local mail client. This also means I get to store a ton of
tiny files on my computer that I don't necessarily want to.

I will also be tethered to a mobile device for long periods of time, making
something like this a non option with bandwidth limits and overage fees.

What are my options? I am looking for a super lightweight IMAP client,
something that just lists messages and offers attachment removal. I am fine
with command line if it works in Lion and is not too much of a pain to
install with a 20 chain dependency tree.

* I am not particularly interested in forwarding the message as it messes
up the threading and chain of command.

Thanks.
