Here's some info regarding this issue. 1. Google seems to have pushed out some 'attach file' improvements and also removed the 'Attachment' settings (basic/advanced) in Gmail settings. This change didn't work with Mailplane and I was working on a new version. However, later today I got the 'old' attach file functionality back and attachments started to work again. Please check Gmail > Settings > General (click the gear button). If you have a "Attachment" section then you are using the old version and it 2.5.5 or 2.5.6 should both work fine. If you have no "Attachment" setting, then try "Mailplane > Reset Gmail Session" to get it back. 2.
