I have NOT experienced this issue with Mailplane 2.5.12 (#4016) on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 with all of Apple's software updates installed (except for iTunes 11.1.2.) I usually quit Mailplane twice a day (i.e. when its RAM usage reaches ~200 MB.)
