Another reason to do this: These pop-ups are especially problematic in full-screen mode. if I happened to miss the pop-up the first time it comes up and then switch back to Mailplane, the app is unresponsive. It won't let me do anything else until I find the modal dialog and close it. That typically involves switching back out of full-screen mode. pop-up windows, in general, are problematic in full screen mode if they disappear. (though you can find them through the Windows menu).
