Hi guys;

I had a talk with the developer about this.  He said there aren't any 
issues.   The way the new OS X handles memory is pretty sophisticated and 
you can see the memory go up is you have the available space.  Of course, 
if you notice a lag with your machine while using Mailplane, we do want to 
know.

Also, while comparing with Safari, you do have to add in all of the 
processes...
