Re: [csw-maintainers] Runtime linker pathes in GAR:
The nice thing about using LD_OPTIONS is it doesn't need escaping
(more than initially) and can put $ISALIST first without libtool
interfering.
Maybe this is the one occasion where using LD_OPTIONS does
more good than bad? Just for '-R'?
I suspect that on these occasions LD_OPTIONS wasn't used.
I disabled the use of LD_OPTIONS after the last discussion that it
was a Bad Thing(tm).
PS... Sorry I am muddling occasions, I'm thinking the subject occasion
is "we have a lot of bad RPATHs" but we've moved to the topic to "how
to easily set an $ in the first element of an RPATH", and yes
LD_OPTIONS
does it.
Ok, is it agreed then that using LD_OPTIONS for -R is a Good Thing(tm)?
I'll remove the -R from LDFLAGS and put enable LD_OPTIONS for this
option
only again.
Best regards
