I'm finding that sometimes when I insert tracks, the second track will be a combination of the instruments that I've selected for that track and the first one. For example, I go to track, choose my instrument, set it to channel 1, hit okay, insert track 2, choose another instrument, assign it to channel two and when I arrow between the two tracks, the first track will play it's instrument but the second track will play a layer of the second assigned instrument plus the patch that I selected for the first track. I made sure that local was off as well so I'm not clear on what would be causing this strange behavior. Thanks for the help. However, if you record on another track, please be aware that the other track is also looping. So, if you want a free length on the second track, your best option is to Copy the first track and use the Paste Multiple command to make lots of copies of it, effectively making a finite loop. Regarding your questions about the Quantise tool, can I refer you to the Audio Tutorial on the QWS website about the tools: Go to qws.andrelouis.com, then choose Downloads, then Audio, and it's Tutorial 5. The beat division in the Quantise dialog, by the way, is a beat division, not a bar division. So if you are using sixteenth notes (we call them semiquavers in the UK), there are four notes to a beat, so the value you really wanted is 4, not 16.
