In the castle of Fontainebleau hangs a painting by Rubens showing Aeneas putting down his father after the flight from Troy. The painting was made at Mantua and Aeneas might be interpreted as the ruler of Mantua, taking control of the people (Mantuans//Trojans). The painting is usually dated 1602-1603.
