Just a quick note as follow-up to that thread: advanced sld styling with
filters and rules is now available in Mapbuilder trunk, through the use
of OpenLayers.Style/Rule and OpenLayers.Format.SLD!
There is also a nice feature beyond the sld spec: if you want to use an
image marker, with the image determined by an attribute (e.g. imgsrc) of
your feature, you can use the following string for the OnlineResource of
your externalGraphic:
${imgsrc}.gif
Note that styling one feature with multiple rules in a way that you get
e.g. a thick yellow line below a thin red one is not yet supported by
OpenLayers. In such a case, the styles are merged into one style.
