I'm experiencing exactly the same behaviour with both MGOS and MGE running on both 1.2.0 and 2.0.0 versions. Testing server: - Quad-core, 4 GB RAM - Windows Server 2003 R2 - IIS 6 + ASP.NET (.NET 2.0) This is the _major_ obstacle for MGE/MGOS deloyment throughout multiuser environment. How about Linux/Apache MG developers? Do you guys experience similar problems? Regards, Maksim Sestic

The memory increases when we are using mgservices.we can find any api to release the memory. In the beginning, the memory is about 54Mb,it creashes when the memory goes to 220Mb. Now,we have to use a .bat file to restart the server before it goes to the dead line of the memory,before it gets to 200Mb. we restart the server in the midnight automatically. This is our tempory ways to solve this problem. by the way ,if u only pan or zoom the layer in tile mode.memory wonn't increase,only if u use mgservices to add or edit the information of the layer. Error messages in mgserver logfiles: - out of memory, bad allocation - failed to stylize layer - no more fdo connections - unexpected exception - ressource busy the error messages are not allways identical. The mgserver process hangs completely, can not be restarted so I have to restart the server. Does anybody have a similar situation ? I didn’t change settings in serverconfig.ini, any hints, what to change there ? Why does the mgserver process not deallocate memory, may be there is something wrong in my IIS6 configuration ?
