That's a neat little map.
I'm puzzled by the date on the title placard, but given that the Doge
named is Pietro Ziani, we're talking rather early 13th century
(1205-1229). There's no Theophanes listed on the Bibilioteca Marciana's
GeoWeb catalogue, so finding him may be quite a challenge.
Interesting that it appears to use the name "Rivolati" (i.e. Rialto) for
the whole of the main city area; I wonder if that's just a result of
sloppy copying.

The "facsimile" is clearly a redrawing. Can anyone identify the source?
