Prof. Rubin,
When I acquired a copy of the Amsterdam Haggadah, interestingly the image of 
the woman on the crocodile struck me as familiar.
I find an exact copy of that image on the title page of the Mercator Hondius 
Atlas.

Perhaps others on the list can trace back the source of the image that Hondius 
used.
