For exa mp le, the "famous cartographer" is Willem Blaeu (1571 - 1638), not William Blough. ” To which one might add a reference to the famous reference book How to Blough [‘bluff’] your way in antique map s (Cockaigne : Scotch Mist Publications, 1 April, 1066), and thereby strike a Bleau [‘blow’] for proof readers.
