I would vote against.
Many have given valid reasons for this standpoint, and I agree with
them.
The current system works fine, and we are not that many.
A newsgroup approach would only split our efforts and attention, not to
mention the cumbersome process of setting it up.
My news admin charges me the equivalent of a 6 mo subscription to
usenet.com for adding one (1) group to the pathetic selection they have
made.
So I privately use usenet for a number of relevant newsgroups.
Those are either; a: hardly used at all or b: full of crap and endless
arguments of little interest to the public.
