Personnaly, I didn't get much involved yet in MI-L but being on the FAQ 
team for Comp.Software.Testing, I agree that going to a newsgroup would be 
an error.  A mailing list is much better.   No unwanted job posts totally 
off-topic, no ads, no junk.

I spend about 1 hours a day just sending reminders to head-hunters, to Post 
using the proper subject tags :(
