Hi Karl,
probably I know this problem.

Working with non-earth maps I sometimes dealt with it. When you create
non-earth map you have to set coordinate bounds (min x, min y, max x, max
y). You can 'draw' objects only within this area. When you try to set point
coordinates out of the area MapInfo puts it on the boundary! If only some
object nodes are out of the area MapInfo will put them on the boundary and
other nodes will have correct coordinates.

The same problem can be with UTM projections, that in fact have coordinate
bounds too. I tried to check it and got the same result (MapInfo 5.0).

If you have any map sample you could send it me - I would be glad to make
one more experiment :)

Best regards,
Lena Bagh

am wondering if others have seen this bug as well. Both clients have their
tables in the UTM map projection. They sometimes need to move a point
feature to a specific Easting/Northing location. They double click on a
point feature in an editable layer, then type in the coordinates and press
the OK button. When they do that, the point disappears from the screen.
When you zoom out, you find that the point has moved to a location with
different coordinates than that which you typed. It usually goes somewhere
around the equator. Has anyone else seen this problem? I have been told
that v5.0 of MapInfo did not have this problem. V5.5 and v6.0 has this
problem also.
