On occasion, when using the Buffer tool, nothing happens (no buffer created)
yet some change appears to take place, as the "Save" Icon for the active
mapper becomes active.
The scenario:
Select a given PL
Menu command to "Buffer" 'say, 40 feet'
A change appears to take place in the mapper window as indicated by the
"Save" file icon on the tool bar, but no buffer is created.
Sometimes, I can drop down to say 20 feet and the buffer is created, then I
can buffer the buffer to get the buffer I want.
Sometimes, I have to keep lowering my desired buffer to use this method
I have found that if I add to or take nodes away from the PL, this will
sometimes allow the desired buffer to be created.
Any suggestions?
