Dear Mark,
Actually your request concerning MI defaulting to BNG projection requires
*no re-engineering of MI* at all, since you can achieve this by
providing a startup workspace (startup.wor) and include the following line :
set coordsys earth projection 8, 79, 7, -2, 49, 0.9996012717,
400000, -100000
At least version 5.0 has this functionality so it's been right in there
waiting for you for all these years.
Andrew Dressel will probably be very happy to tell us how many years exactly
(version 4.0 ?).
