I have seen similar maps in MI. However, you will have to do all of your
work in the map window (graphics included) to export to word using the "drag
map window" OLE tool. Clearly this is not easiest way to build a map, but it
works. At least you know you can keep your watermarks below your boundary
layer.

If someone knows a method of exporting the layout window to Word I would
like to know of it.

Users

I have posted this question to the group before but unfortunately, I either
didn't explain myself clearly or the responses that I did receive were not
much help.
So here goes again.........
I have a layout with three frames.
1. a map of a district
2. an empty frame that covers my entire map and that serves as a border
(fill pattern :none)
3. text objects that are spread across my map (1) and that are to serve as
watermarks

I am trying to create watermarks for the text objects such that the
watermark is under my boundary layer and is transparent.

The procedure of selecting the map (1) - send to back; then
selecting the text object (3) - send to back
selecting the empty frame (2) - send to back
and finally
clicking on the map (1) and bring to front
has worked on some of my maps and not on others. I would then like to import
my MapInfo layout into a word document as a bitmap.

Has anyone done this before and able to point me in the right direction.

Regards.

Vinny
