First of all you need the MapSource mapping software from Garmin. Use the
tool 'Open from device" where it will download your track, route and
waypoint (the same way you synchronized data from your Palm) into the
basemap. Watch out the map projection use- must be the same as per GPSIII+
and MapSource map. You can then import these route, waypoint and tracklog
using the DXF import into your MapInfo basemap by preserving the attributes.
MapSource Ver 4.X support DXF export.
I'm currently using GPSIII+ and works well.
