One of my drinkin buddies worked on the PNG format spec. It is the way to go with map info. PNG is a hybred format that allows both raster and vector information. I was so excited to see MI support png format. Need an Overlay? Make it in photoshop with an alpha channel save it as a PNG and import it into MI .. Transparent overlay! PNG also uses a better loosy compression then JPEG.
