Hi Gerald >Even better would be : > + Ability to zoom and pan the map > + User clicks and have coordinates displayed > + User clicks/drags a rectangle and has coordinates entered into web >query form
Our web front-end "Neapoljs" can do all of that, this based on MapInfo MapXtreme, ESRI ArcIMS or MapServer. Samples you find on www.mapserver.ch under "examples" and "references". How to configure you see under "publishing". All based on JavaScript/HTML and HahtSite (MapXtreme) or PHP (ArcIMS and MapServer). No Java, no client side plug-ins required, runs on IE > 5 and Netscape > 4.5 (or 4.7 if using PNG for output, which is the case for ArcIMS and MapServer due to GIF license stuff). Data Formats supported: - MapInfo MapXtreme: MI TAB - ESRI ArcIMS: Shape and SDE - MapServer: all of the above >Ideally a solution would be cheap, fast, and easy to implement. Is there >such a thing? What alternatives are there? It's pretty fast and easy to implement (we could easily set up a demo with your data). I don't know what you understand with "cheap", pricing starts around USD 10'000. best regards flavio ******** 10 Years TYDAC Event - Review see www.tydac.ch ********* xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ATTENTION: New Address xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------------------- ############ Mit freundlichen Gruessen / Kind Regards ############ Flavio Hendry- mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ############ TYDAC AG - http://www.tydac.ch #### #### Geographic Information Solutions #### #### Luternauweg 12 -- CH-3006 Bern ############ Tel +41 (0)31 368 0180 - Fax +41 (0)31 368 1860 ----------------------------------------------------------------- MAPINFO Strategic Partner - PCI Reseller - FME Distributor ESRI ArcGIS Solution Provider ----------------------------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________________________________ List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, send e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put "unsubscribe MapInfo-L" in the message body.
