Hello Gerald, One great solution to your question would be Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG, based on XML is a new web standard from the W3C). You can get information on SVG from our website: http://www.dbxgeomatics.com/svg.asp?Language=EN
It's vector based, so with an SVG-Map, you can zoom-in, zoom-out and Pan without distortion. SVG allows to provide this interaction with very high quality output capability, directly on the web. You can add interactive color-rollovers, color-gradients, hill effects and dropshadows. Another great advantage is that you can add interactive info-tips which display data from the layer (taken from the MapInfo.tab). We have developed a tool (SVGMapMaker) which will allow you to export your map or layout directly form MapInfo in seconds. You can download a demo version (comes with sample data) and view examples at: http://www.dbxgeomatics.com/SVGMapMaker.asp?Language=EN Remember, all of these are exported directly from MapInfo Professional. As for displaying your coordinates (mouse location) this is a great solution and can easily be done. Enjoy, Denis Denis Lalonde GIS Application Specialist DBxGeomatics Inc. 37 St-Joseph Boul.
