Thanks for responses. Jaques, I'll be trying this as soon as the panic has stopped here but in the meantime I found snapping to nodes and drawing another polyline did the trick. Unable to use 'thin'command as only running MI 6.0.
Thanks again..........paul -----Original Message----- From: Jacques Paris [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 12 March 2002 18:07 To: Paul Simpson Subject: RE: MI-L Joining polylines I have a relatively old, not fancy, "labour intensive" application called fuseline that you will find in the MLC_INI applications under the MLC project at www.paris-pc-gis.com/mlc_main_en.htm FUSE POLYLINES creates a polyline by fusing to a first (poly)line A another (poly)line B; the procedure can continue as long as needed. If the closest ends of the two (poly)lines do not coincide exactly, there are 3 possibilities : if they are within a given tolerance (as it is determined in OPTIONS), the junction is made directly between the last node of A and the second of B; or, a segment is added between the last node of A and the first of B; or the entire operation is canceled. The "line" direction of the first A (p)line is respected. Attributes (tabular data) are those of the first selected object. Polylines must contain only ONE SECTION. Duplicated nodes are eliminated. Polylines can be checked for topological errors before they are fused (OPTIONS). I have several to do and tried the 'combine' command but still get very small gaps.
