Hi list; Just a quick point, if you want add your input please do.
Does anyone feel that the standard mapbasic interface (Notepad-type look) gets a little frustrating after a while? I have seriously begun to notice that when I'm putting together a small app (that needs to be done quickly)-the code is fairly straight forward, it's just creating the app takes it's toll. I was thinking that Mapbasic could do with a VB-style interface where you could create complex or simple code from menus/buttons/options and it'll write the code for you and compile...or merely write the code out and you could copy it into your MB code. E.g: Creating dialogs, complex case statements, DDE, etc. I know this is a fairly complicated task; but since I spend up to 50% of my time coding programs; I could be far more productive if the interface did some of the grunt work for me? Anyone know if MapInfo plan on tackling this? Anyone feel the same out there? Ben Crane Wokingham DC __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? LAUNCH - Your Yahoo!
