Hi Ben,

I not only like UltraEdit, I love it !! Strong words but true.

But of course there is no visual interface to creating dialogs and/or
menus, but who needs this stuff ... ;-)

I know there is some third party companies outthere that has made some
other tools to help you create
your dialogs etc. in an easier way.

Ben,

MapInfo had some stuff about how to configure CodeWright to provide
support for MapBasic on their web site for a long time.

I spot it now in the knowledge base.. see if this link works for you:
http://testdrive.mapinfo.com/techsupp/miprod.nsf/5c41496d5951a49c852562b5004f3a44/b537f99ba39dccc7852566cd005a96e4?OpenDocument

If not, start here: http://testdrive.mapinfo.com/kbase_by_product
and go to
MapBasic, then: MapBasic ADE (Application Developers Environment)

CodeWright's expensive though.. I think Bill likes UltraEdit.

Good luck!
Eric
