Hi list, Forgive me if this is inappropriate, but the knowledge base here is extensive and I would value your opinion.
I was wondering, considering the number of different countries represented here, whether anyone would know of recruitment agencies for GIS that deal with international recruitment? My contract terminates in April of 2003, and unless it is renegotiated, I'll be looking for work. I am based in Wokingham, UK, and hold a British passport. I have been thinking of relocating to the US / Canada for further GIS experience in addition to experiencing a different way of life. Whilst this isn't set in stone, I believe it would be foolish not to look into other avenues of GIS work in other countries. I would be very grateful if anyone could help me out with names of agencies and if they operate from the US / Canada or from over here. If anyone is interested in my work, I've had both Arcview / Mapinfo experience of which the latter is more recent; in addition to exposure to VB, SVG, Perl, HTML, Javascript and Mapbasic. I am looking into developing my programming skills further and am VERY interested in moving into learning Java/Delphi/C++ in terms of developing GIS software.
